I'm Nikki, a creative old soul who loves tea time, tip-toeing through gardens, mounds of books, swaying to records, watercolors, sunset walks with our three yorkies, and star-gazing with Paul. This blog carries snippets of my life with just us two (five with Rusty, Lucy, & Ethel) - I hope it brings you happiness as you snuggle in with something warm and delicious and begin reading. Olivia | A Christmas Country Bridal Session

I literally can’t explain how much I enjoyed creating this shoot, working with these amazing people, and photographing every last detail. If you know me then you know I love Christmas (I blame my mom and dad for making Christmas the best part of our childhood :)). I have been creating all of these visions in my head for months now – I knew what I wanted the backdrops to look like, I knew what I wanted the set to look like, and I knew what our model would look like. It’s been amazing seeing all of it finally come together! I owe HUGE thank yous to the wonderful people that I got the opportunity to work with:

Leigha: You always do such amazing work!! I’m so glad I had the chance to work with you again (she’s done quite a few of my brides’ hair for their weddings and also did hair/makeup for my previous bridal sessions) – you did such an amazing job. I’m in love with what you did to Olivia’s hair and the way her makeup turned out. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. Thank you so much for seeing my vision and working with me to create it!!

Christine: Thank you SO much for working with me during this shoot! I could not stop looking at the flowers – it was exactly what I had pictured (and it smelled good too! :)) and I am so thrilled that we were able to work together again (she also provided flowers for one of my brides). You are amazing and your bouquet was the icing on the cake (or cinnamon rolls in this scenario)!! Thank you so much!

Olivia: My goodness. You were absolutely stunning and such an amazing person to work with!! Even though it was freezing out you did everything absolutely perfect and were seriously the easiest person to photograph. Thank you so much for spending your day off with us in the snow! You were seriously stunning. (Thank to you Angie for coming and helping and making this shoot so much fun!! I owe you both some big Caribou coolers!! xoxoxo)

Mom: Thank you so much for helping me with props! She made the banner for me, supplied almost all of the props (she let me dig around her Christmas decor – what a nice lady), and is always so supportive with every aspect of my business. Your props were beautiful and everything fit my vision perfectly! Thank you so much for working with me!!

Paul: You’re the best. :) Thank you for helping me load the car, unload the car, set up the shoot, hang snowflakes everywhere, and spend your day off to work with me in the cold. :) (I’ve already said thank you plenty of times to him so I won’t elaborate :)).

Ok, enough typing! Enjoy the shoot, friends!! :)
